He discusses the stigmas associated with vaginal mesh surgery, and how it is the urologist’s responsibility to set the expectations for their patients in terms of possible complications with different slings. Blaivas is a professor of urology in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, New York.
